Q: What will the wedding be like?
A: Think... relatively non-traditional. We are hoping our wedding feels more like a get-together and less like a formal wedding. We will have a few of the more "traditional" wedding activities, but will be keeping things mostly casual with games, food, drinks, and great company!
Q: Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
A: We are wishing away rain but accepting that it might still pay us a visit! We are having an indoor/outdoor wedding with the ceremony being fully outside. Our Reception will span between the tent (where dinner will be served!), the yard, and the Stone Cottage. We suggest you check the weather in advance and dress accordingly (and maybe pack an umbrella!) See the "Venue Information" page for more information on our space!
Q: Are you having a block of rooms at a hotel?
A: Yes, please take a look at the "Venue Information + Lodging" page to find a link to our room block. We will also have a shuttle that will run to/from this hotel. However, you are not required to stay at this hotel! We encourage you to see what might work best for you - we listed a bunch of different options!
Q: Can I wear jeans? Is there a dress code?
A: Yes, you can wear jeans and no, there is no dress code! Wear whatever you'd like that makes you feel fancy AND comfortable! Be mindful that we will be mingling in grass, so keep that in mind when making your shoe selections.
Q: Is it okay if I bring a plus one and/or my kids?
A: Unfortunately, due to space limitations of our venue, we cannot accommodate more guests than what is listed on your invitation.
Q: What time should I arrive at the venue?
A: Our ceremony starts at 3:30 PM (sharp!) We suggest that guests arrive about 3:00 PM. As a reminder, we will have a shuttles running from our hotel!
Q: Can I take pictures during the ceremony?
A: No - we are doing an "unplugged" ceremony! Please keep your phones away AND off. We promise to share the photos our photographer takes... and we want you to be fully present with us in the moment! Phones are welcome during the cocktail hour and reception ; we will also have some disposable cameras being passed around!
Q: Is it a cash bar?
A: No, however we are supplying our own alcohol. Once we run out, we run out! Please drink responsibly.
Q: What types of food options will there be? What if I have an allergy or dietary restrictions?
A: We will be serving a variety of different types of food (all good, we promise!) Please let us know if you have any specific allergies or restrictions... we can work with our caterer!
Q: Can I smoke/vape on the property?
A: No. Because the venue is in the National Park, we have a lot of rules we need to adhere to in order to keep the property pristine. Smoking is banned in nearly all areas in every National Park across the country. This ban also includes vaping while indoors.
