"TWO VIEW COMPLEX"

Taking aspects of the HOUSING UNIT project, we were to create a mixed-use apartment complex. I wanted to maximize the views towards downtown Kent and towards the park/river from the back. The skewed floors allow this to happen while also creating two private outdoor spaces for each unit to enjoy.
In addition, I wanted to emphasize the community aspect of the complex - both inside the building and out. Outside consists of a large plaza for events and gatherings, with stores/restaurants opening up to it. Inside, I created several places where residents can meet or hang out without having to share the space with anyone who decides to visit the lot.
